Hours: 40hrs per week - Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm with an element of flexibility required

We have an opportunity for a Marketing Executive who will work closely with the Marketing Campaigns Manager and Marketing Director to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to support brand growth for Cruise 118 / Six Star Cruises / River Voyages and drive database growth.

Implement agreed projects to deliver budgeted sales leads and support business growth objectives.

Act with agility in the execution of deliverables, achieving first class speed-to-market and reaching new C118 / Six Star / River Voyages customers ahead of competitors.


  • Execute a full range of marketing deliverables to promote C118 including E-shots, DM pieces, letters, press ads, webinar content, graphics, event invitations, landing pages and SMS
  • Carry out email campaigns to attract specific customer groups and gather target data, building and testing campaigns to drive database growth (sales leads)
  • Schedule campaigns to be broadcast at optimal times
  • Control design & artwork production, liaise with external suppliers for the printing & mailing of product literature and other items as necessary
  • Tailor messages to existing and new customers (acquisition/retention)
  • Support MCM and PPC/SoMe Manager in executing a social media strategy for C118 across platforms such as Facebook Twitter, Pinterest & Instagram
  • Suggest improvements to the website in line with C118 and ensure these are updated
  • Produce presentations and promotional material to support the direct sales team (Concierge, event presenters, webinar graphics)
  • Keep up-to-date resource library for all cruise lines including maps, videos, images, testimonials, brand and ship USPs
  • Analyse campaign results and measure against KPIs
  • Update website content and landing pages through the use of the CMS and identify opportunities for future development
  • Ensure costs are kept within agreed budgets
  • Contribute new ideas for marketing campaigns
  • Drive creativity throughout all campaigns, from copy through to design and promotional mechanics, both offline and online
  • Keep abreast of competitor (retailer) activity and up-to-date with cruise ship/brand news


Skills & Attributes

  • Preferred experience in marketing (2/4 years minimum); degree educated, but transferable skills will be considered.


  • Demonstrable understanding of marketing discipline including online & offline tactics
  • Experience of briefing design, print production, mailing variables
  • Working knowledge (or capacity to learn with training) of artwork packages such as InDesign, Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator; and of web content management systems
  • Knowledge (or capacity to learn with training) of platforms such as MailChimp, Exact Target.
  • CMS management and website editorial knowledge
  • Have used WordPress or similar CMS
  • Basic HTML coding knowledge
  • Excellent copywriting skills; strong command of the English language and ability to write copy and captions for DMs, E-shots and letters
  • Influencing skills, setting and managing deadlines
  • Desire to learn and become the C118 brand champion; energetic disposition
  • Strong attention to detail (above average required)
  • ‘Can – do’ attitude; reliable, honest, positive and upbeat manner
  • Creative mind, demonstrable ability to think differently
  • Passion for travel and a natural flair for communicating to a wide range of consumers
  • Curiosity and desire to keep abreast of market trends and ahead of competitors
